Brian Sturges (Berklee College of Music, B.M., The Second City) founded Poor Life Choices Productions in Los Angeles, California to expand improv comedy shows into film and online content. The Poor Life Choices team has worked together since 1998, establishing Poor Life Choices Productions when Sturges recruited Cliff Beach (Pepperdine, M.B.A., Berklee College of Music, B.M.) and Timothy Hall (College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, B.M.) to collaborate on the development of various projects for film and stage. In 2016, Poor Life Choices Productions began work on the feature-length film, “Wall of Flesh: A Vintage Comedy,” set for release in late 2018. Their music video project “Delilah” is an Official Selection in the Divulge Dancers’ Film Festival 2018.

Owner & Director
Brian Sturges is an actor, comedian, director, writer and musician. He is the writer, director and composer of the feature-length film, Wall of Flesh, and can be seen in the films, Elijah’s Ashes, God of Thunder and Hee. Brian’s on-stage credits include Candidate Confessions, The Lollygaggers, and The Really Awesome Improv Show. In 2015, Brian debuted his one-man show, Poor Life Choices, which he wrote, directed, and performed at The Second City Studio Theatre in Hollywood. As a session player on guitar, bass, piano and harmonica, he has recorded for Red Lobster, Disney and Warner Brothers Records and the Musical Director for The Second City Hollywood premium show Hell County, Florida. Brian composed, arranged and orchestrated the Wall of Flesh soundtrack which contains 21 Jazz Fusion compositions and 2 Gospel tracks. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and The Second City Improv, Conservatory and Long Form Programs.

Funk/Soul music artist Cliff Beach has been performing live for more than 15 years in Los Angeles. The Berklee College of Music trained singer/songwriter/keyboardist/producer and DC native has created a style of music he coins as “Nu-funk”, a hybrid of soul, traditional R&B, funk and neo-soul which he performs regularly throughout Southern California. Cliff is currently promoting his new album entitled “The Gospel According to Cliff Beach”, which was nominated for an Independent Music Award in 2018. Cliff is a voting Member of NARAS, a Songwriter and Publisher with BMI and an award-winning member of Toastmasters International. He is distributed by California Soul Music (Record Label) and represented by Definitive Talents Inc. (Booking Agency)and PR by EF Public Relations.
